Paper Chain Snake

This slithery snake is a really creative way to use up old paper! Bring the family around and craft this cute lil' guy together!

You will need: green paper*

yellow paper*

red paper

scissors

glue stick

black marker

*The green and yellow paper can be replaced with other colours of your choice!

Step 1.

Begin by cutting-up strips of green and yellow paper. Make sure the adult handles the scissors!

Step 2.

Make a paper strip into a loop and glue the ends together.

Step 3.

Continue to make loops, connecting them by interlocking them.

Step 4.

Continue to do this until you make a long chain (go in a pattern of green, yellow, green, yellow).

Step 5.

Cut-out the shape of the snake's head using green paper (this could take a few attempts!). Cut-out the snake's tongue and attach it. Draw-on the snake's eyes.

Step 6.

Attach the snake's head (make sure he doesn't bite you!).

Et voilà! your slithery snake has come to life. I hope you enjoyed this craft!
